#FridayPhrases (#73 & #74)

Welcome to my weekly FridayPhrases roundup post. This is a weekly microfiction event hosted on Twitter. Check out the link for more information. πŸ™‚

This week is two weeks in one, and a day late. Last week I wasn’t well, and this week technology hasn’t been helpful. But, better late than never. πŸ™‚

Last week’s prompt: Blatant.

My tweets:

It was blatantly obvious what must be done. She closed her eyes and dropped the pill bottle. It rattled as it hit the bottom of the bin.

This week’s theme: Dead of night.

My tweets:

It always starts in the dead of night, the whispering, the little voices telling her nasty things. To pick up the knife. Draw blood.

She could do anything, when the lights were out and the world was silent. In the dead of night, when no one was around to make it real.

    1. No, nothing serious. And yes, I’m feeling much better now, which I’m grateful for. Thank you. πŸ™‚
I’m glad you liked them. That’s why I like microfiction, because just one or two short sentences can spark off a whole world in your mind. Or even inspire a longer story. Thanks for reading. πŸ™‚
