Chillin’… (#17)

Welcome to my Sunday feature. πŸ™‚ This is all about relaxation and inspiration.

Christmas is just around the corner, and it’s the time of year when we are told we should think of the homeless, the unfortunate in the world, and the people who need help in all sorts of ways.

This quote struck me.

Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling.

Edna Ferber.

Christmas shouldn’t be just about one day of being charitable, or thinking of someone else before yourself. I want to try and carry that feeling past Christmas Day. It’s hard, because we have so much in our lives that tests us and makes life hard to cope with.

But I’ve always been taught a great lesson by my mother. Her words:

There’s always someone worse off than you. Be grateful for what you do have. Some people would be grateful for it.

Sorry for the longer post this week. But this was important for me to say.

Merry Christmas to everyone. πŸ™‚
