Chillin’… (#16)

Welcome to my Sunday feature. 🙂 This is all about relaxation and inspiration.

I saw this quote earlier on in the week and it really clicked with me. I worry a lot. And I have a big imagination. So I thought, if I worried less, how much more positive imagining might I do?

Worry is misuse of the imagination.

  1. It’s scary how true that quote is. When I’m stressed out or things aren’t going well, I’ll hyperfocus on everything else that could possibly go wrong. :S And that only adds more stress and tension. It takes practice to concentrate on the positives, but once you get the hang of it, it can be liberating – and much more conducive to your creativity.

    1. I completely agree. Focusing on the negatives doesn’t change anything, and it doesn’t help the creative mindset either. I’m practising focussing on the positives instead. Like you said, it’s not easy. But worth it.

  2. Wow! Now that really packs a punch. I can relate to it as well! Thanks a lot, Phoenix.
Lately, I’ve discovered that quotes do motivate (as in before I never thought that they ever worked, but now I do believe it.) I’m thinking of collecting quotes so that whenever I’ll feel low I’ll read them and feel motivated. I’ll add this to my list 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  3. Great quote… I couldn´t agree more with those words… Another one for you… Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. Albert Einstein
Merry Christmas and all my best wishes to you. Aquileana 🎄

    1. That’s a good quote. Einstein has some of the best quotes. Imagination is truly the key to everything.
Merry Christmas to you too, and thanks for stopping by. 🙂
