#FridayPhrases (#65)

Welcome to my weekly FridayPhrases roundup post. This is a weekly microfiction event hosted on Twitter. Check out the link for more information. πŸ™‚

This week’s theme: Mercy.

My tweets:

I need time to have mercy on me and slow down! I’m running but I can’t catch it up. I swear it’s taking pleasure in this.

Pain and sorrow cracked her heart. spilling into the breaks, filling it up. No matter how she begged for mercy, sorrow held her tight.

There is no mercy for people like me, for the sinners of the world. We do what must be done to keep the lights shining. Haunted.

**** Quick update: I haven’t written a short story this week as I am trying to get NaNoWriMo finished. I am close, and very determined to win!

    1. You know, I’m not sure at the moment. I think maybe the lights of good in the world. I had the vision in my mind of sparks of light in people, and places, that you can’ normally see, but drive the good acts that they do, and the good things that happen. If that makes any sense at all.
